BID BOND FORM <br />Note: Bidders must use this form if a bid bond is to be used as bidder's security. This <br />form is not necessary if cash, cashier's check made payable to the City, or certified check <br />made payable to the City, accompanies the bid. <br />We, the undersigned, <br />and by virtue of the laws of the State of <br />("Principal"), and <br />a corporation organized and existing under <br />and authorized to do <br />business in the State of California as a surety, ("Surety"), acknowledge ourselves jointly <br />and severally bound to the CITY OF PLEASANTON for ten percent (10%) of the total <br />bid amount. <br />Contractor's Bid $ <br />10% Bid Bond $ <br />The above amount to be paid to the CITY OF PLEASANTON as follows: If Principal's <br />bid for the work required for the project, described below, <br />VALLEY AVENUE SOUNDWALL REPAIR (REBID) PROJECT NO. 18437 <br />shall be accepted and the proposed contract awarded to Principal, and if Principal shall <br />fail to execute the contract within the time specified in the Award and Execution of <br />Contract section of this Contract Document, and to furnish the required faithful <br />performance and labor and material bonds; otherwise, the obligation shall be void.
