GHAD Minutes Page 1 of 3 June 17, 2025 <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICTS <br />MINUTES <br />Tuesday, June 17, 2025 <br />6:55 PM <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Balch called the Special Meeting of the Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts to <br />order at the hour of 6:55 p.m. from the Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal <br />Avenue. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Boardmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Chair Balch <br />Absent: None. <br />1.Public Comment - Comment is limited to items listed on the agenda. <br />Chair Balch opened public comment. There being no speakers, Chair Balch closed <br />the public comment. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Nibert/Testa to approve the consent calendar as <br />recommended. Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Boardmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Chair Balch <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />2.Approve a professional services agreement with ENGEO to monitor the Geologic <br />Hazard Abatement Districts (GHADs) for Laurel Creek, Moller Ranch, Lemoine <br />Ranch, and Oak Tree Farm <br />Recommendation: <br />1.Convene as the Board of Directors for the Laurel Creek, Moller Ranch, <br />Lemoine Ranch, and Oak Tree Farm GHADs. <br />2.Approve and authorize the City Manager to enter into a professional <br />services agreement with ENGEO for a total of $132,032 for a five-year term <br />for annual GHAD monitoring. <br />3.Authorize the Director of Public Works, or authorized staff, to approve and <br />execute contract amendments to the agreement for the not to exceed <br />amount of $13,203 (10 percent of the agreement amount) if deemed <br />necessary by staff during the five-year term for work outside the scope of <br />services. <br />Page 7 of 674
