City of Pleasanton Legislative Framework <br />• • • <br />6 | P a g e <br /> <br />• Support efforts to secure funding to address water supply, sewer, storm water, flood <br />control, and development of new infrastructure. <br />• Support efforts to secure funding for programs that help meet the City’s Climate Action <br />Plan (CAP 2.0) and other sustainability goals. <br /> <br />Wildfire and Emergency Preparedness <br />• Support efforts that provide funding to local agencies for disaster preparedness, <br />evacuation planning, fire suppression and prevention, and rescue emergency medical <br />services. <br />• Support measures that provide resources and incentives for the development of <br />defensible space and home hardening efforts. <br />• Support legislation and regulatory activities that increase the availability, and <br />affordability, of homeowners and renters insurance for properties located within areas of <br />increased risk of wildfire. <br />• Support legislation that streamlines regulatory requirements, such as the California <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), for wildfire prevention, and other emergency <br />preparedness, projects.
