Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) <br />4 <br />The LCFF is the State’s equity based funding <br />formula which ensures a base funding level <br />for all districts based on their average daily <br />attendance and student demographics. <br />Additional funding is allocated for students <br />that meet specific criteria (English learners, <br />eligible for the free/reduced meals, foster, <br />and unhoused students <br />Districts can supplement State funding with local funds (parcel tax and donations). PUSD has <br />no parcel tax. Districts where the property tax exceeds the LCFF can retain the additional <br />monies (community funded schools). PUSD’s local property tax provides about 55-60% of the <br />LCFF amount. The State provides the remaining funds to the LCFF level.
