Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee Minutes Page 3 of 4 March 24, 2025 <br />MOTION: It was committee member Shah to approve item 6 with the recommendation to <br />approve the use of existing Measure BB Pedestrian and Bicycle Funding and upcoming <br />FY 25/26 Measure BB Pedestrian and Bicycle funds and seconded by committee member <br />Maciel. There were no updates from the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COMMITTEE COMMENTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />STAFF COMMENTS – PROJECT UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />• WLP Project: <br />o Plans in final design with estimated completion in Summer 2025 <br /> 65% plans completed with cost estimate of $36 million, current <br />funding of $26 million. <br />o Construction begins in Spring 2026 <br />• I-580 Overcrossings: <br />o $250k in HSIP grant funding <br />o Staff pursuing additional funding from ACTC CIP funds <br /> Applied for ACTC grants and waiting approval for use on design <br />• Hopyard Rd/Owens Dr Intersection Improvements <br />o Construction began last week <br />• Bike/Ped Master Plan Update: <br />o Received two bids and currently reviewing for selection <br />o City Council approved a contract with Hexagon on March 18, 2025
