Page 1 of 2 <br />Item #2 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> <br />February 18, 2025 <br />City Manager <br /> <br />TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPOINT THE <br />ASSISTANT/DEPUTY CITY MANAGER AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE ON <br />THE TRI-VALLEY COMMUNITY TELEVISION BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br />Staff recommend that the City Council adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to <br />Appoint the Assistant/Deputy City Manager as the City's representative on the Tri-Valley <br />Community Television Board of Directors. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to Appoint the Assistant/Deputy City Manager <br />as the City's representative on the Tri-Valley Community Television Board of Directors. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Tri-Valley Community Television is a non-profit corporation established to promote and help <br />coordinate the production of community service television in the Tri-Valley area. The non-profit <br />corporation is governed by a Board of Directors composed of representatives from the Cities of <br />Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The current composition of the Board of Directors is the Assistant/Deputy City Manager from <br />each of the three cities. Assistant City Manager Pamela Ott was appointed as the City's <br />representative to the Tri-Valley Community Television Board of Directors on April 18, 2023, <br />and currently serves in that capacity. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br />As Assistant City Manager Ott has announced her retirement in May 2025, staff is <br />recommending the City Council authorize the City Manager to appoint the Assistant/Deputy <br />City Manager as the City's representative to the Tri-Valley Community Television Board, <br />effective April 2025. <br /> <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />Having a representative from the City of Pleasanton on the Tri-Valley Community Television <br />Board of Directors serves the Pleasanton community by providing local access to timely and <br />relevant news, information, and government meetings. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No outreach was conducted as this is a routine matter of City business. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this action is in alignment with the ONE Pleasanton Strategic Plan Goal Building a <br />Page 12 of 749
