While <br />staff anticipates the 2025 annual assessments will similarly be around $80,000, through the <br />new one-year agreement, the City will provide matching funds of 50% of the collected <br />assessments, which is anticipated to be approximately $40,000. <br /> <br />In addition to the direct City contributions, the City provides a significant amount of indirect <br />funding, which includes staff time to administer the PDA assessments and contract, assistance <br />and support for events and business initiatives, as well as the cost to maintain downtown <br />planters, cleaning sidewalks, and garbage pickup, and related upkeep improvements. The City <br />will also cover expenses such as city staff time and equipment rental for no more than two <br />street closures as requested by the PDA.
