20.26.380 <br />(Pleasanton Supp. No. 29, 1-23) 816 <br />5. Physical space for future electrical heating <br />appliances, including equipment footprint, <br />and if needed a pathway reserved for routing <br />of ductwork to heat pump evaporator(s), <br />shall be depicted on the construction draw- <br />ings. The footprint necessary for future elec- <br />trical heating appliances may overlap with <br />non-structural partitions and with the loca- <br />tion of currently designed combustion <br />equipment. <br />(Ord. 2241 § 2, 2022) <br /> <br />20.26.380 Section 5.408 amended—Construction <br />waste reduction, disposal and <br />recycling. <br /> Section 5.408 is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />5.408.1 Construction waste management. As <br />provided in Municipal Code Chapter 9.21, “regu- <br />lated projects” as defined therein shall comply <br />with Municipal Code Chapter 9.21. Projects that <br />are not regulated by Municipal Code Chapter 9.21 <br />shall comply with CALGreen Section 5.408, as <br />applicable. <br /> <br />5.408.2 Universal waste. [A] Additions and al- <br />terations to a building or tenant space that meet <br />the scoping provisions in Section 301.3 for non- <br />residential additions and alterations, shall require <br />verification that Universal Waste items such as <br />fluorescent lamps and ballast and mercury con- <br />taining thermostats as well as other California <br />prohibited Universal Waste materials are disposed <br />of properly and are diverted from landfills. A list <br />of prohibited Universal Waste materials shall be <br />included in the construction documents. <br /> <br />Note: Refer to the Universal Waste Rule link at: <br />https://dtsc.ca.gov/universalwaste/ <br /> <br />5.408.3 Excavated soil and land clearing debris. <br />100 percent of trees, stumps, rocks, and associated <br />vegetation and soils resulting primarily from land <br />clearing shall be reused or recycled. For a phased <br />project, such material may be stockpiled on site <br />until the storage site is developed. <br /> <br />Exception: Reuse, either on- or off-site, of vege- <br />tation or soil contaminated by disease or pest in- <br />festation. <br /> <br />Notes: <br />1.
