Trails and Open Space
The HVSP specified three trails on the Spotorno property: Happy Valley Loop Trail; Golf
Couse Loop Trail; and Spotorno Flat Area Trail. The proposed plan (See Figure 6
below, also See Sheet L4 of PUD Plans of Attachment 5a in the Plans) includes the
following:
■ Happy Valley Loop Trail (in pink color): an up to six feet wide natural trail on the
east side of Alisal Street from the project site to connect to the recently approved
trail on Sycamore Road;
■ Golf Couse Loop Trail (in blue and orange colors): this trail would be located on
the north side of Westbridge Lane along the project site;
■ Spotorno Flat Area Trail (in green color): This trail includes two segments:
El a trail located within the proposed Parcels A and B; and
u a trail located on the outer side of the proposed Spotorno Ranch Drive.
The Golf Course Loop Trail and Spotorno Flat Area Trail would be built with the project,
and the Happy Valley Loop Trail would be "built by others." As discussed later in this
report, although the plans indicate the Happy Valley Loop Trail would be "built by
others," the project is proposed to be conditioned for this trail be built by the
development with the project.
Page 9 of 18
