Subject: FW: S
pport Measure PP
From: Steve Gee
Sent: Monday, November 16, 2015 8:57 AM
To: Mayor and City Council
Cc: Steve Gee
Subject: Support Measure PP
Dear Mayor Thorne & Pleasanton City Council --
$UPPLJMENTAL MAT RIAL
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
./f -(BSc
Date
I wanted to communicate my support for Measure PP, and urge you to support it on Tuesday on the Lund Ranch
II issue. I believe the language in Measure PP precludes any kind of road building on the slope, given the
grading exclusion.
We are recent transplants to the Bridle Creek neighborhood of Pleasanton, having moved here in 2014. A major
reason we have chosen Pleasanton is its natural beauty; it has a completely different feel than the inner Bay
Area. With the trees and hills we get a huge feeling of relaxation after a long day in over - developed, over -
urbanized Silicon Valley.
If we consider the City of Fremont, where I work -- it also has good schools and good people. But the city is
aesthetically unappealing; the flatlands have an industrial, gritty feel, while the hillside/hilltop housing
developments give a feeling of Lords up high and Serfs down low. Pleasanton is more egalitarian and beautiful
throughout.
The decision regarding the Lund Ranch II development will be precedent setting for future development across
the town. I would urge you to support Measure PP and preclude massive developments in our beautiful open
spaces.
Sincerely,
Stephen Gee
Sycamore Creek Way
Pleasanton
Click here to report this email as spam.
