Proposal for code change to allow residential beekeeping in Pleasanton <br /> Please don't make it overly restrictive, or requiring large fees or assessments/Inspections. Many cities <br /> much larger and with higher density have minimal requirements for residential beekeeping. Large fees <br /> and inspection will only drive more cost for the city and eliminate lower income residents. The harder <br /> you make beekeeping the more underground activity you get. It would be better to require residents to <br /> register the hives location and limit the number of hives and then just enforce the beekeeping with the <br /> same nuisance laws you use for other animals like dogs, or chickens. <br /> In conclusion, thank you for allowing this process, and considering the approval of residential <br /> beekeeping in the city of Pleasanton. <br /> 12IPage <br />
