1-
_ Councilman Madsen of the Public Utilities Committee reported that his department
was progressing with satisfaction.
Councilman Amaral of the Laws and Judiciary Committee had nothing special to
report but he did suggest that a part time patrol officer be engaged to watch the
traffic situation and to curb the fast driving etc. which so frequently occurred..
Councilman Madsen brought up the matter of the present Chief of Police salary which he
thought included his services as a traffic officer. Mayor Orloff thought that
Chief of Police Delucchi •was doing what he could to. take care of same, but that his
duties required a number of occupations which prevented his taking care of all
traffic matters as he otherwise would be, under normal circumstances. Councilman
Rivolta suggested that the natter be taken under advisability and that same should
be•heatd more definitely at the next meeting.
Qouncilman Rivolta of the finance committee had no special report to make. He
mentioned that the bills of the municipality were a little higher than they had been
of-recent months and he cautioned the various departments to keep their expenses down.
Councilman Olesen of the Street a.nd Building committee suggested that an oil
sprayer for street work be procured. He pointed that if same was at hand the work
of patching streets could be carried on more economical and more work could be done
more efficiently. It was ordered that the matter should be, looked into and a further
report heard from Councilman Olesen at a future session.
The following resolutions tere then presented:
Resolution No. 1606 -- Authorizing the payment of the salaries of the municipal officers
for the month of February amounting to $770.00.
No. 160:7 -- Authorizing the Clerk to draw a warrant on the Town Treasurer
in favor of Macedoni Cattalini for $2.00 in payment of
right -of -way privileges on his property on account of Town of
Pleasanton water mains for the period April 1, 1935 to March .
31P 1937- -
Action on the resolutions taken as follows:
Resolution No. 1606 -- Adopted on motion of Councilman Madsen, seconded by Councilman
Rivolta and with all the Councilmen in favor of same.
No. 1607 -- Adopted on motion of Councilman Madsen, seconded by Councilman
Amaral and with all the Councilmen in favor of same.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 9:06 o'clock to meet
in regular session, Monday evening, April 5th at 8 o'clock.
Approved: Clerk
Mayon
Pleasanton, California, April 5, 1937.
The Town Council of the Town of Pleasanton was called to order at'8:00 o'clock
on the above written date with Mayor Thos. Orloff presiding. Present at roll call
were: Councilman Madsen, Rivolta, Amaral, Olesen and Orloff.
The minutes of the March 1 st meeting were adopted as read.
The Clerk then presented Claims No. 384 to 432 inclusive and amounting to
$1368.79 as follows:
Claim No . 384--Pacific Gas & Electric Co.,
electricity
$173.14
385 -- ' n n n n n n
n n IT
3.94
386 -- IT n IT it n rr n
it IT it
11.73
387 -- n n rt rt r ,► n
pow @r"
70.40
388 --
IT
7.65
390 -- if If IT it " " "
electricity
.50
389 -- rr rr .t rf ,t n "
power
7.76
391 -- " " " IT IT it It
electricity
2.60
392 -- n n n 11 If IT IT
gas
2.36
393 -- Elizabeth S.
