Treasurer -- Showing that the rater Deposit Fund had $68.50,on.hand er last report and <br />since then X2.50 had been collected making a total of $71.00, less $n5.00 paid out, <br />leaving 066.00 in the Mater Deposit Fund. The Water-Surplus Fund had $15.99 on hand <br />per last report and since then no collections had been made,.and no- warrants paid out <br />leaving $15.99 in the dater Surplus Fund. The Curb-and Gutter project had $295.86 <br />on hand per last, report ,and- since, then $47.38 had been collected making a total of <br />$343.24 in the -Curb and Gutter Project Fund. The General Fund had $4067.52 on hand <br />per last report and since then 557.90 had been collected making a total of $7625.42 <br />less ,-$1555.55 paid out, leaving 6069.87 in the General Fund. <br />Fire Chief;-- Showing report of activities during the month of October, 1936. <br />City Judge: -- Report showed that $30.00 had been collected in fines during the <br />month of October, 1936. <br />Health Officer:.—Showing report of activities during the month of October,1936. <br />Milk Inspector: -- .Showing laboratory report of milk samples for the month of <br />September and October. <br />j <br />Ashton Britten: Showing laboratory reports of the septic tank at the sewer farm for <br />the month of October, 1936. <br />The reports were referred to the finance committee for audit and report. <br />The following communications were then read: <br />October 21st, Livermore Aeire of Eagles, thanking the Council for privileges extended <br />on Tuesday, "October 20th. <br />October 30th, W.P.A. advising that it will be willing to consider a project from the <br />Town of Pleasanton for two men to trim trees in the town. The communicat- <br />ion stated that at ,least six weeks would be required to obtain approval <br />from Washington for such a project., <br />Applications for permission to hold a dance at the Veterans Memorial Building <br />on November 10th by the American Legion and from the Parish Social Club for a dance <br />in the same building.on .We.dnesda.y evening, November 25th were received. There being <br />no obj ect ions 9 t•the'1.permits -were - -granted. <br />A recess followed during which the finance committee examined Claims No. 190 to <br />233 inclusive and amounting to $968.44. After the meeting had been,called to order <br />again, Councilman Rivolta of the finance .committee reported that the committee had <br />examined and approved the claims and made a motion to the effect that they be paid. <br />His motion was seconded by Councilman Olesen. Councilman Rivolta also reported that <br />the officers monthly reports were accepted and moved that they be placed on file. <br />Action on the communications were taken as follows: <br />October 21st, Livermore Aeire of Eagles. Filed. <br />October 30th, W.P.A. Councilman Olesen recommended that the Clerk write to Mr. <br />Chase, Supervisor, Division of Operations, and arrange for a project <br />to be submitted. <br />- 'Councilman Olesen'of the Street and Building committee had no special report <br />to .present. He queried Mr. Nilson with regards to the hearing before the State <br />Railroad Commission with regards to the Neal Street crossing. Mr. Nilson informed <br />the Council that a formal court hearing would be held in Sari Francisco on next <br />Saturday, November 7th and that Councilan Orloff and Olesen would be required to <br />attend. <br />Councilman Amaral had nothing to report. <br />Engineer Sinclair, speaking in the absence of Councilman Madsen, reported that <br />the sewer farm had been lately cleaned up and that he expected the work there to <br />progress with satisfaction. He also brought to the attention of the Council the <br />water situation the coming winter and advised that at the present time the wells <br />of the municipality were down about 52 feet. He also advised that 'outer would not <br />be available from the water District during the winter on account of its supply <br />not being adequate to furnish the town of Pleasanton as it had heretofore. A <br />lengthy discussion with regardd to the water situation followed but no action <br />was taken. However, it was deemed advisable that the matter be looked into and <br />receive the attention of the Councilmen in advance of the next meeting. <br />ro The following resolutions were then presented: <br />Resolution No. 1599 -- Authorizing the" payment of the municipal officers for the <br />month of October and amounting to $770.00. <br />No. 1600 -- Authorizing and instructing,.the Clerk to draw a warrant on the <br />Town Treasurer in favor of T.H.Silver, for the sum of One <br />Thousand fifteen and no /100 dollars in payment of interest <br />due on Municipal Improvement Bond and 1929 Municipal Improvement <br />Bond. <br />No. 1601 -- Authorizing and instructing the Clerk to draw a warrant on the <br />Town Treasurer in favor of Edward T. Planer, Tax Collector, <br />Alameda County for the sum of $30.11 in payment of county <br />taxes, first and second installments on the sewer farm property <br />and the camp ground property. <br />Action on the resolutions were taken as fo'llowss <br />Resolution No. 1599 -- Adopted on motion of Councilman Amaral seconded by Councilman <br />Rivolta and with all the councilmen present in favor of same. <br />No. 1600 -- Adopted on motion of Councilman Olesen, seconded by Councilman <br />Amaral and'with all the councilmen present in favor of same. <br />1193 <br />0 <br />
