IIS3 <br />iv An application for permission to hold a dance at the I.D.E.S. Hall on Saturday <br />evening, July 18th was, received from the Pleasanton Junior Chamber of Commerce, and <br />signed by Bob Gibson. There were no, objections to the permit being granted and accord- <br />ingly same was ordered. <br />Attorney Nilson advised -that he had filed an application for hearing with.the <br />State Railroad Coi=issio-n in regards to the Neal Street bridge. <br />Councilman Madsen of the Public Utilities Committee advised that.his department <br />was progressing with satisfaction. <br />Councilman Amaral of the laws and judiciary committee had nothing to report. <br />i Councilman Olesen of the street and building committee reported that the slope - <br />wall had been completed on Division Street and the fence put up and things cleaned up. <br />Councilman Rivolta of the finance committee reported that he noted a number <br />of large bills being submitted and trusted that expenses would be cut down and that <br />there would be no reoccurrence of these bills for sometime to come. <br />The Clerk presented his annual report.of the financial transactions of the <br />municipality for the period ending June 30, 1936. There was no discussion of the <br />report, same being set over until the next meeting. <br />The- following resolutions were then presented: <br />Resolution No. 1591 -- Authorizing the payment of the salaries;•of the municipal <br />offices for the month of June and amounting to $745.00. <br />" No. 1592 -- Authorizing and instructing the clerk to return to the General <br />yFund the sum of $738.60 which he was authorized and instructed <br />to borrow as of April 6, 1936 as per Resolution No. 1582 <br />in order to complete payment due on interest and bond payable <br />on account of Municipal Improvement Bond fund in the amount of <br />$216.94 and the 1)29 Municipal Improvement Bond Fund in the <br />amount of $521. -66. i <br />No. 1593 -- Authorizing and instructing the clerk to draw a warrant on the <br />Town Treasurer in favor of T.H.Silver, for the sum of Five <br />Hundred Sixty -two Arid 50/100 in payment of hunicipal Water <br />Bond and interest. <br />Action on,the resolutions were then taken as follows: <br />Resolution 1591-- Adoptedr;ohomo:t.iori_ of Councilman Madsen, seconded by Councilman Olesen <br />and with all ,the councilmen in favor of same. <br />it It 1592 -- Adopted on motion of Councilman Madsen, seconded by Councilman Olesen <br />and with all the councilmen in favor of same. <br />1593 -- Adopted on motion of Councilman Madsen, seconded by Councilman Rivolta <br />and with all the councilmen in favor of same. <br />Attorney Nilson presented the signed Deed of Carrie A. Lewis, conveying to the <br />Town of Pleasanton a portion of her property on Division - Street in connection with the <br />slopewall.• Resolution 1594 Accepting Delivery of a Deed from•Carrie A. Lewis to the <br />'�own of Pleasanton and Authorizing the same to be recorded was then presented. Same <br />was adopted on motion of Councilman Rivolta, seconded by Councilman Olesen and with <br />all the councilmen in favor of same. <br />There .being no further business the me eting, adj ourned t 10:20 o'clock to meet <br />in regular, session, Monday evening, August 3 at o'clock. <br />Approved: Clerk <br />Mayo r <br />Pleasanton, California, August•, 1936. <br />'The Town Council of the•Town of Pleasanton was called to order at 8 o'clock on <br />the above written date by Mayor Thos Orloff.
