Orloff. Present at roll call <br />were Councilmen: Rivolta, Olesen and Orloff. Councilman Madsen was late <br />and Councilman Amaral was absent. <br />Mayor Orloff drew attention to the members that the meeting had been <br />called to consider prices submited by three lumber firms who had been <br />appealed, to, to send in figures as regards lumber to be used on the <br />slope wall project which the municipality woul& have to purchase. The <br />prices as submitted were: Hall Warehouse Company 8670.00 including sales <br />tax and all materials to be delivered on the job and as ordered by the <br />foreman of same. Sunset Lumber Company $656.11 including sales tax ( the <br />lumber-to be delivered in two approximately equal shares). Diamond Match <br />Company $643.01 including sales tax. The Council ordered that since the <br />Diamond Match Company had submitted the lowest price, that the lumber <br />would be.purchased from them, providing the lumber would be delivered on <br />the job as needed. Otherewise the price of the Hall Warehouse Company <br />would be accepted. 'A short discussion followed among the Board members relative <br />to the work going on in connection with the slope wall. <br />The Clerk read a communication from the League of California Municipalities <br />dated December 6th and relative to notice of Railroad Commission held in San <br />Francisco on December 19th as regards rates per hour exclusive of drivers on <br />dump trucks etc. <br />There being no further business the meeting ad,j�ourned at 8:25 o'clock <br />to meetiin .regular session January 6 at `930 P.M. jl <br />Approved: <br />/14ffayor <br />erk <br />
