Letter from Scott Raty, President /CEO, Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce <br /> 12.1 Since the publication of the Draft General Plan in September 2008, the Pleasanton City <br /> Council approved an amendment to the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan and, as part of that <br /> decision, approved a four -lane extension of Stoneridge Drive to El Chatro Road. The Draft <br /> General Plan has been revised to reflect that decision. <br /> 12.2 Comment noted. Please see Programs 6.3 and 6.4 of the Draft Economic and Fiscal <br /> Element which address the issues of streamlining the development review process, and <br /> making the city review processes more understandable, open and accessible. <br /> 12.3 Comment noted. Staff will be working on the Housing Element update as soon as the <br /> General Plan is adopted. Any potential inconsistencies between the Housing Element and <br /> the General Plan will be dealt with prior to the adoption of a new Housing Element. <br /> 12.4 The Housing Element update will provide the appropriate forum for this discussion. <br /> 12.5 Infrastructure needs are based on projections of growth under the General Plan. These <br /> projections take into account the 29,000 unit residential cap enacted by the citizens of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> 12.6 Comment noted. Policy 1 and Program 1.1 of the Economic and Fiscal Element of the <br /> proposed General Plan seek to enhance Pleasanton's diversified economic base through an <br /> aggressive business retention and expansion program. <br /> 12.7 The City has continued to review and approve proposed projects during the General Plan <br /> update period and will continue to do so as it updates the Housing Element of the General <br /> Plan. <br /> 12.8 Comment noted. <br /> final response to comments with throw pages 50 <br />
