1 <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 10, 2009 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the special meeting to order at the hour of 6:07 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />PUBLIC COMMENT-None <br />The meeting adjourned to Closed Session for the following: <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION, pursuant to <br />Government Code §54956.9(a): Urban Habitat et al. v. City of Pleasanton, Alameda County <br />Superior Court, State of California, Case No. RG06293831 <br />CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL -ANTICIPATED LITIGATION, pursuant to <br />Government Code §54956.9(b): The Environmental Impact Report for the General Plan <br />update and the General Plan update itself <br />The meeting reconvened in open session 7:44 p.m. City Attorney Roush noted there was no <br />action to report concerning the Urban Habitat matter. On the other matter, Council directed staff <br />to move forward to the Planning Commission and City Council the General Plan update, along <br />with proposed revision to the Air Quality Element (tentatively to be renamed Quality and Climate <br />Change Element) and to other programs/policies that concern climate change related issues. <br />ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business the special meeting adjourned at 7:45 p. m. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Karen Diaz <br />City Clerk <br />
