PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF Ar.ArviFDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1950 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A <br />NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR CASE RZ-81-1, <br />JACK AND JIM LAVEY. <br />WHEREAS, Jack and Jim Lavey have applied to rezone the approximately <br />10,000 sq. ft. site containing an existing commercial <br />structure located at 4183 First Street from C-S (Commercial <br />Services) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) District <br />or to any other zoning district consistent with the General <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on February 17, <br />1981 at which time all pertinent documents and testimony <br />were reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of February 17, 1981 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated February 17, 1981 regarding the afore- <br />mentioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney <br />of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative <br />Declaration and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) <br />of Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her <br />copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering <br />the proposed Negative Declaration and Initial Study; and <br />WHEREAS, the public was afforded an opportunity to comment on the <br />proposed environmental assessment, which had previously <br />been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the <br />public hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of <br />projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports <br />as they pertain to requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />
