PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA ~--- STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION N0. 1853 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR MERLE TELFORD FILED UNDER Z-80-13. WHEREAS, Merle Telford has applied for design review approval for a commercial/office complex consisting of three buildings con- taining a total of 16,653 sq. ft. to be located at 235 Main Street. The property is zoned C-C/C-0 (Central Commercial, Civic Overlay) District; and WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by the City Council of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of March 12, 1980 received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Devel- opment dated February 27, 1980 regarding the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration r-- and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution No. 77-66; and WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the pro- posed environmental assessment, which has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned project; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Plan- ning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guide- lines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be under- taken to ensure that the project will not have a significant impact upon the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) as they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the project requested in Z-80-13 would not have any significant effects on the environment to require the preparation of an ,-- Environmental Impact Report.
