PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />~--- STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION N0. 1853 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />MERLE TELFORD FILED UNDER Z-80-13. <br />WHEREAS, Merle Telford has applied for design review approval for a <br />commercial/office complex consisting of three buildings con- <br />taining a total of 16,653 sq. ft. to be located at 235 Main <br />Street. The property is zoned C-C/C-0 (Central Commercial, <br />Civic Overlay) District; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to <br />the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by <br />the City Council of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of March 12, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Devel- <br />opment dated February 27, 1980 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its <br />responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration <br />r-- and the determinations required by Section 5.4(e) of Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies <br />of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the pro- <br />posed environmental assessment, which has previously been <br />published in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public <br />hearing on the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Plan- <br />ning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guide- <br />lines and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects <br />and preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in order to <br />determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the <br />project and what mitigation measures, if any, must be under- <br />taken to ensure that the project will not have a significant <br />impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) <br />as they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations <br />and Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the <br />project requested in Z-80-13 would not have any significant <br />effects on the environment to require the preparation of an <br />,-- Environmental Impact Report. <br />Section 2. The City Staff is directed to cause a Notice of Deter- <br />mination to be filed pursuant to Section 5.4(e) of Reso= <br />
