PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1856 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />FOOTHILL BUILDERS FILED UNDER TENTATIVE MAP 4373. <br />WHEREAS, the Foothill Builders have applied for a tentative map approval <br />for a 13 lot residential subdivision of the 10 acre site located <br />on the east side of Foothill Road south of Bernal Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the property is zoned R-1-20,000 (Single-Family Residential) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant to <br />the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures adopted by <br />the City Council of Pleasanton by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of March 12, 1980 <br />received the Initial Study and proposed Negative Declaration <br />in a report from the Director of Planning and Community Devel- <br />opment dated March 12, 1980 regarding the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission was advised by the City Attorney of its <br />responsibilities in reviewing the proposed Negative Declaration <br />,- and the determinations required by Section 5.4 (e) of Resolution <br />No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before him/her copies <br />of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of considering the proposed <br />environmental assessment, which has previously been published <br />in the Pleasanton Times, at the time of the public hearing on <br />the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of the staff report and public input, the Planning <br />Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's Guidelines <br />and Processing Procedures for the evaluation of projects and <br />preparation of Environmental Impact Reports in order to determine <br />if a Negative Declaration is appropriate for the project and <br />what mitigation measures, if any, must be undertaken to ensure <br />that the project will not have a significant impact upon the <br />environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission reviewed the contents of Resolution <br />No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures) as <br />they pertain to the requirements for Negative Declarations and <br />Environmental Impact Reports and determines that the project <br />requested in Tract 4373 would not have any significant effects <br />on the environment to require the preparation of an Environmental <br />Impact Report. <br />
