PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1713 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF R2-78-6, TEMPORARY <br />SUBDIVISION SIGNS. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the rezoning application <br />to amend Section 2-9.46 of the Ordinance Code relating to <br />temporary subdivision signs; and <br />WHEREAS, on Auqust 9, 1979, the Planning Commission concurred with the <br />staff report recommending certain amendments to Section <br />2-9.46 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton <br />dealing with temporary subdivision signs; and <br />WHEREAS, the thrust of that report is that the code as presently <br />written is too liberal with regard to such signs, and that it <br />should be tightened as it pertains to size and number of <br />signs, bonding requirements and the length of time such signs <br />should be allowed to stand; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council concurred with that position at their meeting <br />of October 3, 1978, and instructed the staff to prepare a <br />draft ordinance incorporating such changes; and <br />WHEREAS, the draft ordinance achieves that goal. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. That the Planning Commission recommends approval to the <br />City Council to amend Section 2-9.46 of the Ordinance Code. <br />Section 2.
