PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1718 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />DAWN PERRY FILED UNDER UP-79-5. <br />WHEREAS, Dawn Perry has applied for a conditional use permit to <br />allow the operation of a private school, teaching grooming, <br />poise and etiquette at 1811 Santa Rita Road. The property <br />is zoned PUD-O (Planned Unit Development-Office Uses) <br />District. <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held March 14, 1979 before the Planning <br />Commission at which time all pertinent reports, documents <br />and testimony were reviewed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the findings that: <br />A. The proposed location of the conditional use is in <br />accord with the objectives of this chapter and the <br />purposes of the district in which the site is located. <br />B. The proposed location of the conditional use and the <br />conditions under which it would be operated or main- <br />tained will not be detrimental to the public safety <br />or welfare or be materially injurious to properties <br />or improvements in the vicinity. <br />C. The proposed Conditional use will comply with each <br />of the applicable provisions of this chapter. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission approves UP-79-5 subject to the <br />following conditions: <br />1. That this use permit is granted only for an area <br />encompassing approximately 650 sq. ft. of the building <br />located at 1811 Santa Rita Road and that it be only for <br />the purpose of teaching grooming, poise, etiquette and <br />other activities normally associated with a charm <br />school. <br />2. That there be no more than 25 students and employees on <br />the site at any one time. <br />3. That the applicant adhere to the signing program <br />established for the building at 1811 Santa Rita Road. <br />
