PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1728 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR <br />RZ-79-3 AS FILED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has applied for the rezoning of <br />an approximately 5.1 acre parcel of land located at the <br />southwest intersection of Stoneridge Drive and Springdale <br />Avenue from R-1-650D (Single Family Residential) District <br />to RM-2500 (High Density Residential) District or any <br />other zoning district consistent with the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, said proposal was based upon an Initial Study done pursuant <br />to the Environmental Impact Guidelines and Procedures <br />adopted by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton <br />by Resolution No. 77-66; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its meeting of April 11, <br />1979, received the Initial Study and proposed Negative <br />Declaration in a report from the Director of Planning <br />and Community Development dated April 3, 1979, regarding <br />the aforementioned project; and <br />WHEREAS, each member of the Planning Commission had before <br />him/her copies of Resolution No. 77-66 at the time of <br />considering the proposed environmental assessment which <br />has previously been published in the Pleasanton Times, <br />at the time of the public hearing on the aforementioned <br />project; and <br />WHEREAS, upon receipt of th staff report and public input, the <br />Planning Commission reviewed the provisions of the City's <br />Guidelines and Professing Procedures for the evaluation <br />of projects and th¢ preparation of Environmental Impact <br />Reports as they pertain to requirements for Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports in order <br />to determine if a Negative Declaration is appropriate <br />for the project an what mitigation measures, if any, <br />must be undertaken'to ensure that the project will not <br />have a significant', impact upon the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Co~fission reviewed the contents of <br />Resolution No. 77-66 (Environmental Impact Guidelines <br />and Procedures) as',they pertain to the requirements <br />for Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact <br />_, Reports and determines that the project requested in <br />UP-78-26 would not', have any significant effects on the <br />environment to require the preparation of an Environ- <br />mental Impact Repot. <br />
