.-- PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1614 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON MAKING THE FINDING THAT THE HPD (HILLSIDE <br />PLANNED DEVELOPMENT) DESIGNATION BE PLACED ON THE <br />PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE END OF ARBOR DRIVE BETWEEN <br />CRELLIN ROAD AND THE CITY LIMIT LINE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, on December 7, 1977, initiated a rezoning <br />on approximately 60 acres of land located between Crellin <br />Road and the City Limit line at the end of Arbor Drive <br />from the R-1-6500 and R-1-20,000 Districts to the HPD <br />(Hillside Planned Development) District; and <br />WHEREAS, this matter was first reviewed at a public hearing by the <br />Planning Commission on January 11, 1978, when it was con- <br />tinued to February 8, 1978, in order that a new negative <br />declaration could be prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the matter was continued from February 8, 1978, because of <br />-- the lateness of the hour; and <br />WHEREAS, the application was reviewed on March 8, 1978, when staff <br />recommended that the property be rezoned to the PUD (Planned <br />Unit Development) District; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed all reports, maps, documents <br />and testimony, which included concerns of property owners <br />in the area who feared that the Planned Unit Development <br />District would allow greater than the existing density for <br />the area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the purposes of the PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development) and HPD (Hillside Planned Devel- <br />opment) District ordinances, and concluded that the HPD <br />Ordinance was most appropriate for the subject property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council <br />the adoption of an ordinance rezoning the property under <br />RZ-77-21, to the HPD (Hillside Planned Development) District. <br />Section 2.
