MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />April 1, 2008 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Sullivan led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Sullivan asked everyone to observe a minute of silence to reflect the Iraq war, <br />honor the soldiers who have lost their lives, the Iraqi citizens who have been killed and to <br />visualize ways of moving beyond the conflict to a more peaceful world. He also announced the <br />following upcoming events: The 15th Anniversary of the Pleasanton Senior Center will be <br />celebrated on Friday, April 11 with an Open House Jamboree from 10AM to 3PM at the Center; <br />The Tri-Valley Employment Fair kicks up on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Robert Livermore <br />Community Center; the Fifth Annual Bay-Friendly Garden Tour is scheduled on Sunday, April <br />27th from 10AM to 4PM. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br />CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATOR -Pursuant to Government <br />Code §54956.8 <br />Property: Acquisition of the Alameda County Transportation Corridor <br />Agency negotiator: Nelson Fialho <br />Negotiating parties: County of Alameda <br />Under negotiation: Price, terms of payment, or both concerning the purchase and <br />acquisition of the Alameda County Transportation Corridor between Bernal Avenue and <br />Stanley Boulevard <br />City Attorney Roush reported out on Closed Session, stating the Council voted unanimously to <br />give direction to the City Manager concerning appropriate price, terms of payment and other <br />issues regarding said corridor and negotiations and discussions will continue. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS -None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Administrative Services <br />Approved regular meeting minutes of March 18, 2008 <br />Planning <br />2.
