PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-04 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION TO MODIFY A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR CAROL ABBANAT AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE UP-87-38 <br />WHEREAS, at the September 23, 1987 Planning Commission meeting, <br />the applicant was granted approval for a conditional use <br />permit to allow teaching piano lessons as a home <br />occupation at 4645 Gatetree Circle; and <br />WHEREAS, this approval disallowed outside employees (as required <br />by Code) and limited the hours of operation to those she <br />had self-imposed; and <br />WHEREAS, Carol Abbanat has applied to modify the approved <br />conditional use permit to relax the hours of operation <br />condition so that she may continue to teach her present <br />students; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 13, 1988 <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves the application to modify a conditional use <br />use permit to conduct piano lessons as a home occupation <br />at the residence located at 4645 Gatetree Circle subject <br />to the following conditions: <br />1. That no other than residents of the dwelling shall <br />be employed in the conduct of the home occupation. <br />2. That the lesson schedule be staggered so as to <br />spread out the start and stop of each lesson. <br />3. That all drop off and pick up vehicle traffic be <br />accomplished at the curb immediately in front of <br />the subject house. <br />4. That if this home occupation grows to the point <br />that it changes the residential character of its <br />neighborhood, becomes more than incidental and <br />subordinate to the use of the house as a dwelling, <br />or generates traffic in excess of that normally <br />generated by residential uses in R-1 districts, <br />this use permit may be revised, suspended, or <br />- 1 - <br />
