PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-07 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION FOR CASE RZ-87-13, APPLICATION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of August 19, 1986, the City Council <br />initiated prezoning of eight parcels totalling 247 acres <br />in the vicinity of Dublin Canyon Road, including the <br />subject parcel; and <br />WHEREAS, the subject prezoning is resubmitted to the Commission <br />because LAFCO staff is requesting a zoning designation <br />consistent with the long-term development potential of <br />the property, i.e., General Plan designation of "Low <br />Density, Rural Density, and Public Health and Safety;" <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 13, 1988, the Planning <br />Commission received a proposed negative declaration for <br />Case RZ-87-13; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the <br />Initial Study and received the recommendations of the <br />staff; and <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held January 13, 1988 <br />at which time the public was given the opportunity to <br />comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed <br />rezoning; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential <br />impacts in accordance with the applicable state and <br />local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed would <br />not have any significant adverse effects on the <br />environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the negative declaration <br />prepared for the prezoning of a 63 acre parcel located <br />south of Dublin Canyon Road to the PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) Low Density Residential, Rural Density <br />Residential and Public Health and Safety District. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption. <br />- 1 - <br />
