PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-11 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE Z-87-552, APPLICATION OF <br />ROBERT BERKEY FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL OF SIGNS <br />WHEREAS, Robert Berkey has applied for design review approval of <br />a comprehensive sign program for the approximately <br />13,500 sq. ft. Lincoln/Mercury auto dealerships to be <br />located at 4340 Rosewood Drive; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - Commercial District; and <br />WHEREAS, comprehensive sign programs were approved for the <br />Porsche, Volkswagen and Audi dealerships; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission continued the Lincoln/Mercury <br />signage program and directed the applicant to submit a <br />revised program; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 27, <br />1988, the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning the proposed, revised <br />comprehensive signing program for Lincoln/Mercury auto <br />dealerships. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves Case Z-87-552 as herein described subject to <br />the following conditions: <br />1. That the signage shall substantially conform to the <br />plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning <br />Department except as modified by the following <br />conditions. <br />2. That all required City permits be acquired prior to <br />installation of the signs. <br />3. That the used car sign be redesigned to a monument <br />design to match the main entrance sign. The <br />overall height of the sign shall not exceed 8' in <br />height. The final design of this sign shall be <br />submitted for review and approval of the Planning <br />Director prior to issuance of any building permits. <br />4. That the freestanding monument sign be redesigned <br />to include a clean finished edge for the cabinet. <br />The final design of this sign shall be submitted <br />- 1 - <br />
