PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-11 RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE Z-87-552, APPLICATION OF ROBERT BERKEY FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL OF SIGNS WHEREAS, Robert Berkey has applied for design review approval of a comprehensive sign program for the approximately 13,500 sq. ft. Lincoln/Mercury auto dealerships to be located at 4340 Rosewood Drive; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Commercial District; and WHEREAS, comprehensive sign programs were approved for the Porsche, Volkswagen and Audi dealerships; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission continued the Lincoln/Mercury signage program and directed the applicant to submit a revised program; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of January 27, 1988, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning the proposed, revised comprehensive signing program for Lincoln/Mercury auto dealerships. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approves Case Z-87-552 as herein described subject to the following conditions: 1. That the signage shall substantially conform to the plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Department except as modified by the following conditions. 2. That all required City permits be acquired prior to installation of the signs. 3. That the used car sign be redesigned to a monument design to match the main entrance sign. The overall height of the sign shall not exceed 8' in height. The final design of this sign shall be submitted for review and approval of the Planning Director prior to issuance of any building permits. 4. That the freestanding monument sign be redesigned to include a clean finished edge for the cabinet. The final design of this sign shall be submitted - 1 -
