PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1499 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL <br />OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GP-77-1. <br />the City of Pleasanton has filed for an amendment to <br />the General Plan which would change the land use desig- <br />nation of an approximately 51-acre area located imme- <br />diately south of the Arroyo Mocho and east of Martin <br />Avenue (if extended northward to the Arroyo Mocho) <br />from "Sand and Gravel Harvesting" to "Medium Density <br />Residential" use; and <br />in conjunction with this review an environmental assess- <br />ment in the form of an Initial Study for the proposed <br />amendment has been conducted; and <br />REAS, the Planning Commission, on March 9, 1977, reviewed the <br />potential environmental impacts associated with this <br />proposed land use amendment as identified in the Initial <br />Study; and <br />the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this <br />matter at the March 9, 1977 meeting to receive public <br />testimony on the potential environmental impacts of <br />the proposed amendment and there was no public testi- <br />mony. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE Planning Commission resolves as follows: <br />S_ec_tion 1. The Planning Commission finds that the amendment <br />could not have a significant adverse effect on the <br />environment. <br />Section 2. The Planning Commission recommends that the City <br />Council determine that a negative declaration be pre- <br />pared for the project. <br />Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />-' ` upon its passage and adoption. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton on the 9th day of March, 1977, by the <br />
