<br />City of Pleasanton <br />East Bay Regional Park District <br />THIS PRE-ANNEXATION AGREEMENT is made this ~0~7 day <br />of ~ , 19~, between the City of Pleasanton, a <br />municipal corporation (hereafter "City") and the East Bay Regional <br />Park District, a California Special District, (hereafter <br />"District"). <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, District owns in fee simple and operates the Shadow <br />Cliffs Regional Recreation Area ("Shadow Cliffs") and the <br />Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park ("Ridgelands") in unincorporated <br />areas of Alameda County; and <br />WHEREAS, District desires and has requested that Shadow Cliffs and <br />a portion of the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park (Shadow Cliffs and <br />said portion of Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park may sometimes <br />collectively be referred to as "the Properties") be annexed to the <br />City of Pleasanton in order to obtain certain City services, <br />primarily City sewer service for Shadow Cliffs; and <br />WHEREAS, City desires to annex the Properties as it would be <br />beneficial to the residents of Pleasanton, would eliminate <br />duplication of some services, and would be a logical extension of <br />the City's limits; and <br />-1- <br />
