~ ~ C~sl 045 CONTRACT SLURRY SEALING OF VARIOUS CITY STREETS PROJECT NO. 035004 THIS CONTRACT is made and entered into this 7th day of September , 2004 by and between American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co. Inc., ("Contractor"), whose address is 27601 Industrial Boulevard, Hayward CA. 94545, and telephone number is (510) 723-0280 and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, a municipal corporation ("City"). WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the City has awarded to the Contractor a contract for Slurry Sealing of Various City Streets, Project No. 035004. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein, the parties agree as follows: Work to be Performed. The work will consist of slurry sealing of thirty-one (31) various City streets with approximately 1,100,000 square feet of black aggregate. Work shall consist of furnishing aggregate, latex emulsified asphalt, mineral filter and water properly, proportioned, mixed and spread on pavement surface as specified in the Specifications and as directed by the Engineer. In addition, existing striping is to be removed and replaced prior placing new striping and marking. Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and service necessary by these plans and Special Provisions Said work is more particularly shown in the following documents which are on file with the Department of Public Works of the City and are incorporated herein by this reference: A. Plans and Specifications entitled the Slurry Sealing of Various City Streets, Project No. 035004 and addenda thereto, if any. B. Contract Change Orders approved by the City Engineer, done in accordance with the Standard Specifications. C. The proposal submitted to the City by the Contractor. 2. Compensation.
