MINUTES CITY OF PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING May 15, 2007 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember McGovern led the Pledge of Allegiance. Introductory Comments Councilmember McGovern said the City was observing Community of Character Week and this th week’s trait was integrity. She reported that on May 19 the Pleasanton Senior Center is hosting the State Healthy Fair and Walk. The Pleasanton Downtown Association is hosting its Spring th Antique Fair on Sunday, May 27 and on May 16 Pleasanton Senior Center and WHEELS bus service will host an informal open house for the public to learn more about the new bus rapid transit project that is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2008. Roll Call Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman Absent: None AGENDA AMENDMENTS: None CONSENT CALENDAR Councilmember McGovern said she would be abstaining from the April 30, 2007 minutes, as she was absent from the meeting. Administrative Services 1. Approved regular meeting minutes of April 17, 2007 and special meeting minutes of April 17, 2007, April 30, 2007 (McGovern abstained) and May 1, 2007 Finance 2. Adopted Resolution No. 07-112 adopting Fiscal Year 2007-08 Appropriations Limit of $336,349,156 Fire th 3. Adopted Resolution No. 07-113 authorizing submittal of the 13 Cycle Used Oil Block Grant application to the California Integrated Waste Management Board Mayor 4. Proclaimed week of June 4 – 8, 2007 as Community of Character Week in Pleasanton Councilmember McGovern read the proclamation and introduced Ellen Pensky. Ms. Pensky thanked the Council and described planned events for June 7.
