MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 6, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Presentation of <br />Colors and Pledge of Allegiance led by Boy Scout Troop 941, honoring School Board Trustee <br />Juanita Haugen, who passed away recently. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Cook-Kallio announced the following: The Pleasanton Unified School District, <br />the Pleasanton Police Department, the Alameda County Office of Education and the Amador <br />Valley Adult Community Education are presenting a town hall meeting concerning adolescent <br />drinking, drug and tobacco use; Civic Arts Presents is bringing the best of San Francisco <br />Comedy to the Amador Theatre; the Police Department will conduct child car seats inspections <br />every other Thursday beginning March 1St by appointment. <br />She noted that Amador Valley High School won the California State Championship We the <br />People Competition and is currently raising money for their trip to Washington, DC the end of <br />April. <br />In conclusion, she noted the death of long-time civic leader and Pleasanton Unified School <br />District Trustee Juanita Haugen, and suggested that the Council adjourn their meeting this <br />evening in memory of Juanita. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS: None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Administrative Services <br />1. Approved regular meeting minutes of February 6, 2007 and special meeting minutes of <br />January 30, 2007 <br />Citv Manaoer <br />2. Authorized the City Manager to execute an agreement awarding an $18,000 grant in <br />Measure D recycling funds to the Pleasanton Unified School District to implement the Go <br />Green Initiative recycling programs at School Sites for the remainder of the 2006-07 <br />school year <br />3. Approved the appointment of Herb Clayton to the Alameda County Paratransit Advisory <br />Planning Committee <br />4. Approved second amendment to an agreement for consultant services with R3 <br />Consulting Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $45,000 plus reimbursable and <br />appropriate fund for refuse collection and recycling services <br />
