MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 6, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the regular council meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the <br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilmember Sullivan <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Sullivan reported on the following upcoming events, the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Association's Truffles, Tidbits and Wine Tasting Thursday, February 8; the 32nd Annual <br />Campana Jazz Festival on Saturday, February 10; the Princess Project, a non-profit <br />organization that collects and gives away slightly used prom dresses and accessories to high <br />schoolgirls through the Bay Area; Spyro Gyra at Amador Theater on Friday, February 16. He <br />offered a moment of silence to observe those serving in Iraq as well as Iraqi citizens who have <br />died. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />City Manager Fialho noted Item 13 regarding the Vineyard Avenue Streetscape Project is being <br />postponed to February 20. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Concerning Item 2, Councilmember Thorne requested that the report on Commission Absences <br />provide a history, perhaps for a year or more. <br />Administrative Services <br />Approved special meeting minutes January 16, 2007 <br />City Manager <br />2. Accepted the report of Commissioner absences for the period of July 1 through December <br />31, 2006 <br />3. Approved Youth Master Plan Implementation Committee (YMPIC) Representatives for <br />2006-07 <br />Mayor <br />4. Waived the advertising period for a Planning Commission vacancy and authorized the <br />Mayor to make an appointment from the current list of applicants, subject to Council <br />approval <br />Finance <br />5. Accepted Monthly Disbursements and Investment Reports for December 2006 <br />
