<br />\ <br />, <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />November 7, 2006 <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., with all Councilmembers present. <br /> <br />Council adjourned to closed session for the following purpose: <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning the extension of the terms and conditions of a <br />settlement agreement arising out of litigation City of Pleasanton v. Jerry Wagner <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning potential litigation arising out of a claim filed by Jerry <br />Wagner concerning the imposition of sewer fees at property located at 4202 Stanley Boulevard <br /> <br />CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code ~54956.9(a): <br />. Urban Habitat Program v. City of Pleasanton <br />. Merrill Clay Smith v. City of Pleasanton, Case #RG 05207411 <br />. City of Pleasanton v. Kevin Sweeney, et al., Alameda County Superior Court, <br />Case #VG05218793 <br /> <br />The closed session adjourned at 6:45 p.m., with no action reported. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman reconvened the meeting in open session at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br />Sullivan led the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />Council member Sullivan recognized that today is Election Day and urged those who had <br />not voted yet, to get to the polls to vote before they close. He referred to Mr. Norman's <br />requests to have a moment of silence in honor of the troops in Iraq. He asked that the <br />Council and public honor that request by doing so tonight. <br /> <br />A moment of silence was then held in honor of the troops. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Present: <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />None <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />The City Manager noted that staff was pulling Item 4d which relates to the Zone 7 <br />Demineralization Plant. <br />
