\ , MINUTES CITY OF PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING November 7, 2006 Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., with all Councilmembers present. Council adjourned to closed session for the following purpose: Conference with legal counsel concerning the extension of the terms and conditions of a settlement agreement arising out of litigation City of Pleasanton v. Jerry Wagner Conference with legal counsel concerning potential litigation arising out of a claim filed by Jerry Wagner concerning the imposition of sewer fees at property located at 4202 Stanley Boulevard CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION Pursuant to Government Code ~54956.9(a): . Urban Habitat Program v. City of Pleasanton . Merrill Clay Smith v. City of Pleasanton, Case #RG 05207411 . City of Pleasanton v. Kevin Sweeney, et al., Alameda County Superior Court, Case #VG05218793 The closed session adjourned at 6:45 p.m., with no action reported. 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hosterman reconvened the meeting in open session at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Sullivan led the pledge of allegiance. Council member Sullivan recognized that today is Election Day and urged those who had not voted yet, to get to the polls to vote before they close. He referred to Mr. Norman's requests to have a moment of silence in honor of the troops in Iraq. He asked that the Council and public honor that request by doing so tonight. A moment of silence was then held in honor of the troops. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Absent: Councilmembers Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman None 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS The City Manager noted that staff was pulling Item 4d which relates to the Zone 7 Demineralization Plant.
