<br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 5, 2006 <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with all members being present. <br /> <br />Council adjourned to closed session for the following purpose: <br /> <br />CONFERENCE WITH REAL PROPERTY NEGOTIATORS - Government Code ~54956.8: <br />. Property: Water tank site at 1680 Vineyard Avenue <br />Agency negotiator: Nelson Fialho <br />Under negotiation: Terms and conditions of payment <br /> <br />CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - POTENTIAL LITIGATION -Government Code <br />~54956.9(b): <br />· Granite Construction and CEMEX concerning relocation of the asphalt plant on Stanley <br />Boulevard. <br />. Claim of Jerry Wagner <br /> <br />The closed session recessed at 6:55 p.m., with no action to report. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hosterman reconvened the meeting in open session at 7:00 <br />p.m. Council member Sullivan led the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sullivan announced that the next first Wednesday Street Party would be <br />tomorrow evening, Sept. 6th, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Main Street in downtown <br />Pleasanton. The theme for this free event is Septemberfest, featuring local businesses <br />and organizations, food, activities and music by the band Public Eye. For more <br />information contact the Pleasanton Downtown Association at 484-2199 or at <br />PleasantonDowntown.net on the internet. He noted, wrapping up the downtown summer <br />concert season is a first-time youth concert that will be held in the downtown on Friday, <br />September 8 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Lions Wayside Park. The concert, featuring local <br />youth bands, is being presented by the City of Pleasanton's Youth Master Plan <br />Implementation Committee in partnership with the Pleasanton Downtown Association. <br />This event is free and open to the public. The Youth Master Plan Implementation <br />Committee will offer food and beverages for sale to help raise funds for future youth focus <br />projects. <br /> <br />He concluded by stating the Ballistic United Soccer Club will be holding it's annual parade <br />along Main Street on Saturday, September 9th, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. He invited the <br />community to come downtown and enjoy the parade, visit the Farmer's Market and to <br />enjoy downtown.
