MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />June 15, 2004 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Signature Properties, <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District, et al.). <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning the claim of Farmers Insurance. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He <br />reminded the public that the Alameda County Fair would begin on June 25 and continue <br />through July 11, 2004. He announced that the new Vineyard Avenue roadway would be <br />open to traffic this summer. He thanked the School District and Greenbriar for working <br />with the City on this project to make Vineyard Avenue a safer roadway. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer <br />Hosterman, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah McKeehan, <br />City Manager; Lynn Tracy Nerland, Assistant City Attorney; Steven Bocian, Deputy City <br />Manager; Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager; Brian Swift, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works; Julie Famsworth, <br />Director of Library Services; Sue Rossi, Director of Finance; Jim Wolfe, Director of <br />Parks and Community Services; and Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner. <br /> <br />3.
