MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />April 20, 2004 <br /> <br />CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation, Signature Properties <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He <br />reminded the community that Saturday, April 24, 2004 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm is a <br />Valley Team Job Fair in San Ramon. This is a partnership between the cities of <br />Pleasanton and San Ramon for a valley wide job fair for the youth in the community. <br />Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with prospective employers, create resumes, <br />apply for jobs and experience mock interviews. On Monday, April 26, 2004 at the <br />Veteran's Hall, beginning at 5:30 pm, there will be a planning meeting for the community <br />regarding BMX bikes. There will be a BMX course set up at the Bemal Block Party on <br />May 15. Further information is available at www.ptown411 .com. On Saturday, May 1, <br />2004 is the Val Vista Community Park dedication, beginning at 10:00 am, with the <br />dedication ceremony taking place at 11:00 am. The Amador Civics group will have a <br />dress rehearsal on Monday, April 26, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the City Council Chambers. <br />This is in preparation for the National Competition. The group leaves April 29th and Mr. <br />Brozosky wished them the best of luck on behalf of the community. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Marsha Schmiegel called the roll, which is recorded as <br />follows: Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, <br />Jennifer Hosterman and Mayor Tom Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah <br />McKeehan, City Manager; Lynn Tracy Nerland, Assistant City Attorney; Steven Bocian, <br />Deputy City Manager; Stewart Gary, Livermore - Pleasanton Fire Chief; Sue Rossi, <br />Director of Finance; Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services; and Dave <br />Iremonger, Financial Services Manager. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 10 04.20.04 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
