MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br />SPECIAL CLOSED SESSION MEETING <br />0g TI-IE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 13, 2004 <br /> <br />1. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL <br /> <br /> The City Council met in a special closed session meeting at 7 p.m. for the purpose of <br />conference with Legal Counsel regarding the following matters: <br /> <br /> o Conference with legal counsel concerning Pleasanton's potential participation in pending <br /> litigation, Mardell LLC v. Terrasearch, et al. <br /> <br /> o Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation, City ofPleasanton v. City <br /> and County of San Francisco. <br /> <br /> Those present were: Councilmembers Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, <br />Jennifer Hosterman, and Mayor Tom Pica). Staffmembers present were: Deborah McKeehan, <br />City Manager; Nelson Fialho, Deputy City Manager and Michael Roush, City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Following the conclusion of the Closed Session, Michael Roush, City Attorney, repo~ted <br />that Council took action concerning pending litigation, City of Pleasanton v. City and County of <br />San Francisco. Council authorized that an appeal be filed. <br /> <br />2. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br /> There being no further business, Mayor Pico adjourned the special closed session <br />meeting at 6:36 p.m. to a Joint Workshop of the City Council and Planning Commission, 200 <br />Old Bernal Avenue. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Dawn G.
