MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 7, 2003 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br /> Lightning Patrol of Cub Scout Pack 944 posted the colors and led the assembly in the <br />pledge of allegiance. Participating were Webelow members Lane Barlow, Stevie Day, Patrick <br />O'Brien and Scan O'Cormell. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Ayala welcomed everyone and said she was interested in working with <br />local small business owners with an interest in looking at worker's compensation issues. She <br />also offered condolences to Christine Steiner, former Housing Commissioner, on the recent death <br />of her husband. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Marsha Schmiegel called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer Hosterman, <br />and Mayor Tom Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah McKeehan, City Manager; <br />Michael Roush, City Attorney; Robert Wilson, Director of Public Works; Brian Swift, Director <br />of Planning; Sue Rossi, Director of Finance, Phil Gmbstick, Assistant Director of Public Works; <br />Jeff Knowles, Deputy Director/Transportation; Captain Mike Fraser, Police Depathnent and <br />Mike Tassano, Assistant Traffic Engineer. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Items 4d and 4e were moved to the beginning of Public Hearings and Other Matters. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 01/07/03 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
