MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL June 4, 2002 1. CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:01 p.m. Councilmember Michelotti led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She expressed her sadness at the death of Pleasanton resident Leroy Rodgess, a longtime resident of the City. He was a caring man and one of the "old timers" of the community. She expressed her sympathy to his family and to his extended family at VFW Post 6298, where he was Past-Commander. Every morning he and some of his friends could be seen at one of the restaurants on Main Street, sitting and chatting about many past and present events. Ms. Michelotti recalled a poem that was dedicated to the City Fathers, which includes this group of special men. 2. ROLL CALL City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti and Mayor Tom Pico. Staffmembers present were: Deborah McKeehan, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Brian Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall Lum, Director of Public Works and Larissa Seto, Assistant City Attorney. 3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Item 6e was moved to immediately follow Item 6b. 4. CONSENTCALENDAR It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Ayala, that the following actions on the Consent Calendar be taken: a. Approved the City Council Minutes for 05/21/02. b. Approved the Traffic Committee Minutes for 05/02/02. (IR 02:019) Adopted Resolution No. 02-051, approving the Annual Status Report on Development Impact Fees (AB 1600 and AB 1693).
