MINUTES
OF THE
MEETING
OF THE
PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL

Junel9,2~l

1. CALL TO ORDER

The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico
at 7:58 p.m.

Ms. Miehelotti led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. She congratulated
all of the recent graduates from all of the high schools and wished them well as they start
out on their lives in whatever fields they have chosen to pursue. She said it is always
wonderful because she was able to participate in a small part by presenting a scholarship
and it is a pleasure to see how excited the graduates are as they embark on their future
careers, studies, work, or whatever they have chosen to do next. She wished them all
good luck. Ms. Michelotti also noted the involvement and interest in the workshop in the
past hour. She expressed her appreciation because this is what Pleasanton has been about
for a long, long time. In particular, as the Bernal Property is being graded, there is more
community awareness as to the involvement of that development. She said that if anyone
has an interest, there are two committees that are meeting (Park Task Force and the
Bernal Task Force) on what the amenities could be put on that property. She urged
anyone who has an interest to contact the committees. Every meeting is open to the
public. She encourages participation from citizens and said Council looked forward to
the recommendations.

2.
