MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 8, 2001 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with Labor Negotiator Deborah McKeehan regarding the Pleasanton Police <br />Officers Association and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:05 <br />p.m. Brownie Troops # 974 and #2477 lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala reminded everyone about the First Wednesday events in downtown <br />Pleasanton <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell introduced members of Boy Scout Troop #943, who are attending the <br />Council meeting to earn their merit badges for citizenship. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky Dennis, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staffmembers <br />present were Deborah Acosta McKeehan, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Brian <br />Swift, Director of Planning and Community Development; Randall Lum, Director of Public <br />Works; James W. Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services; and Andy Jorgensen, <br />Community Services Manager. <br /> <br />Councilmember Michelotti was absent and excused. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Item 4g, Participation in amicus curiae brief concerning firearms regulation, was <br />removed from the agenda by staff. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala indicated a request had been made to move item 6d to the beginning of the <br />public heatings. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 05/08/01 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
