MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />October 17, 2000 <br /> <br />6:00 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> A closed session was held prior to the City Council meeting to discuss the <br />following topics: <br /> Conference with Labor Negotiator, Deborah Aeosta, regarding Pleasanton City <br />Employees Association (PCEA) Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation concerning <br />groundwa~r fights and related issues. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Cotmcil was called to order by Mayor Ben Tarver <br />At 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala welcomed cvaryonc to the new temporary surroundings for the City <br />Council meetings in the Pleasanton Library Meeting Room. She reminded everyone that <br />the Pleasanton Parks & Community Services and the Pleasanton Downtown Association <br />will be hosting the Annual Halloween Cat Walk on Saturday, October 28, 2000 from 2:00 <br />to 4:00 p.m. A big thank you was extended to all of the downtown businesses for their <br />support in this community event. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> Deputy City Clerk Marsha Schraiegel called the roll, which is recorded as <br />follows: Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Shareell Michelotti, <br />Thomas P. Pico, Jr., and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were Deborah <br />Acosta, City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Steven Bocian, Deputy City <br />Manager, Stewart Gary, Fire Chief; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; and <br />Steve Cusenza, Manager of Utilities. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Item 6A (1) PAP-10, (PDR-26/PV-14) Nextel Communications, was continued <br />until December 5, 2000. <br /> <br />Item 6A (2) PAP-11, (PDR-40/PV-15) Sprint PCS, was cotuinued until <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 10/17/00 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
