MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />September 19, 2000 <br /> <br />6:15 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> A closed session was held prior to the City Council meeting to discuss the <br />following topics: <br /> Conference with Legal Cotmsel regarding anticipated litigation. The Council will <br />discuss potential litigation (either as plaintiff or defendant) pursuant m Government <br />codes 54956.9(b) and 54956.9(c) concerning the School Impact Fee Agreement. <br /> Conference with Labor Negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding Pleasanton City <br />Employees Association (PCEA) Memorandum of Understanding. <br /> Conference with Real Property Negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding acquisition <br />of 3421 Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City council was called to order by Mayor Ben Tarver <br />at 7:10 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Tom Pico led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He then <br />announced the birth of his first grandchild, Thomas P. Pico IV, and showed a picture of <br />the baby. He expressed his appreciation for the staff of Valley Care Hospital. He stated <br />his strong belief that the children of the community are its future and it is important to <br />provide opportunities lbr them and to protect the future for them. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. <br />Pico, Jr. and Mayor Ben Tarvet. Staff members present were Deborah Aeosta, City <br />Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Randall A. Lum, Director of Public Works; <br />Brian Swill, Director of Planning and Community Development; Steven Bocian, Deputy <br />City Manager; and James W.
