MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COtrNCIL <br /> <br />May l6,2000 <br /> <br />6:00 CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> A closed session was held prior to the City Council meeting to discuss the <br />following topics: <br /> Conference with Real Property Negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding potential <br />purchase of property for proposed golf course. <br /> ConiCfence with Real Property Negotiator Deborah Acosta regarding potential <br />purchase of the San Francisco Bemal Avenue Property. <br /> Conl~mnce with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Roeha v. City of <br />Pleasanton). <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding potential litigation concerning <br />groundwater rights and related issues. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Tarver at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br /> Couanilmember Pico led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He referred to <br />the recent Pleasanton Partners In Education luncheon and commended the organization <br />and its participants for their eflbrts. This is another sign of how volunteers make a <br />difference. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Co~mcilmembers present were Kay Ayala. Becky Dermis, Sharrell Michelotti, Thomas P. <br />Pico. Jr., and Mayor Ben Tarver. Staff members present were Deborah Acosta, City <br />Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Randall A.
