MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 27, 1979 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Brown, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, and Mr. ~rris, Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br />ment, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Brown requested that an item be added to the agenda as item 13b - Wage <br /> Freeze Case. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of this <br />meeting to discuss potential litigation. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that item 4e - Recommended Position Reclassifica- <br /> tions, be removed from the Consent Calendar and discussed as item 13c. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be <br />approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for February 13, 1979. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 877, amending Article 18, Chapter 2, Title II of the <br /> Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton as it pertains to Subdivision Signs. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-21, approving reapportioning Left-over Mayors' <br /> Formula Funds to the improvements of West Angela Street at Western Pacific. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-22, approving Claims for the month of January, <br /> 1979, in the amount of $447,671.41. <br /> <br /> e. Recommended Position Reclassitions - moved on the agenda to be discussed as <br /> item l3c. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Wood stated there were two very large holes on the east side of <br /> St. Mary Street near the Western Pacific tracks that should be repaired immediately. <br /> Staff was instructed to investigate this matter. <br /> <br /> <br />
