I51 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE ~ETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 7, 1980 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Vice Mayor Walter Wood called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 7:30 P.M., at the City Hall Conference Room. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, <br />and Vice ~yor Wood were present. Mr. Walker, City Manager, was present. Mayor <br />Mercer entered the meeting at 7:45 P.M.. <br /> <br />INTERVIEWS FOR PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER <br /> Council interviewed the following candidates for the vacancy on the Park and <br />Recreation Commission: <br /> <br /> Rex Heinbaugh <br /> V. Sheldon Jones <br /> Richard W. Knight <br /> Judith G. Mayhew <br /> Jacquie Oliveflus <br /> John J. Phillips <br /> Nancy K. Schick <br /> Raymond J. Serafin <br /> <br /> Mr. Alfredo F. Meneses was not present for his interview. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENT OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSIONER <br /> Mayor Mercer stated it was now in order to accept nominations for the position <br />of member on the Park and Recreation Commission. Councilmembers made the following <br />nominations: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart nominated John J. Phillips <br /> Councilmamber Wood nominated V. Sheldon Jones <br /> Councilmember Butler nominated Raymond J. Serafin <br /> Councilmember Mohr nominated Jacquie Oliverius <br /> Mayor Mercer nominated Rex Heinbaugh <br /> Councilmember Kephart nominated Judith G. Mayhew <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that <br />the nominations for appointment to the Park and Recreation Commission, be closed. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />
