MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 29, 1980 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Frank Brandes, Jr., called the continued Regula.r Meeting from February 26, <br /> 1980, to order at 6:00 P.M., at the City Hall Conference Room. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Butler, Mercer, Wood, and <br /> Mayor Brandes were. present. Councilmember Kephart was absent. Mr. Walker, Acting <br /> City Manager, and Mr. Levine, City Attorney, were present. <br /> <br /> FURTHER DISCUSSION REGARDING REV-IEWOF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SPORTS P.ARK~ <br /> PHASE III (Continued from 2-26-80) <br /> The City Council reviewed the report from the Park and Recreation Commission <br /> recommending that the City Council approve an expenditure of $394,452 for improve- <br /> ments to the Sports Park, Phase III. Council had questions concerning the effect <br /> on this project of the McManus Development and asked that staff report on this <br /> matter at the Council meeting on March 3, 1980. <br /> <br /> VINTAGE HILLS PARK AND MISSION HILLS PARK <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br /> member Butler, that Resolution No. 80-47, authorizing staff to enter into an agree- <br /> ment with A1 Dutchover, Landscape Architect, to design and prepare the 'tWO' projects <br /> to go to bid at a maximum cost of $10,000, and the City has the right to approve <br /> Engineering firm hired by Mr. Dutchover to design the' Vintage Hills Park, be <br /> adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Butler, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Brandes recessed the meeting at 7:00 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br /> discuss litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes reconvened the meeting at 7:45 P.M. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 7:50 P.M., Mayor Brandes adjourned the <br /> meeting to be continued in Regular Session on March 3, 1980, 6:00 P.M., at the <br /> City Hall Conference Room. <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />ES R.'
