2 4 9 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 28, 1981 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br />Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public <br />Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Develop- <br />ment, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Walker stated he had received a request from Attorney Bill Hirst dated this <br />date to continue item 8b - Application of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Pleasanton to prezone the approx43,ately 41 acre area located on the north side of <br />Vineyard Avenue ~mmediately east of the Hacienda Mobile Home Park to PUD Medium <br />Density Residential District, RM-4000 0~ultiple Family Residential) District, or <br />any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan, and accompanying nega- <br />tive declaration, to the meeting of May 12, 1981. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for April 14, 1981. <br /> <br />b. ProclaimMay 17-23, 1981, as National Insurance Women's Week. <br /> <br />c. Transmittel of Three-Year Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 971, establishing a Speed Limit of 25 miles per hour <br /> for the 4-lane portion of Parkside Drive, and 15 miles per hour for the 2-lane <br /> access road from the 4-lane road to the parking areas. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-105, approving Claims for the month of March, 1981, <br /> in the amount of $609,787.01. <br /> <br />f. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-106, accepting Grant Deed from Narctsa R. Garcia <br /> for construction of Peters Avenue and authorizing the City Manager to execute <br /> the Certificate of Acceptance of Real Property, authorizing the Grant Deed to <br /> be recorded with the Alameda County Recorder, authorizing staff to deposit <br /> $150,000.00 into escrow for the purchase of said property, and authorizing the <br /> Director of Public Works and Mayor to execute the Real Property Purchase Con- <br /> tract; and adoption of Resolution No. 81-106a, authorizing the Call for Bids <br /> for the removal of the two existing houses on this property. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-107, accepting Public Service Easements from <br /> Thomas and Margaret McManus (Tract 4551) and authorizing the City Manager to <br /> present to and file with the Recorder of Alameda County, California, said <br /> <br /> <br />
